It’s that time of year when the new WWE 2K game usually gets revealed and fans are expecting WWE to make some sort of announcement sooner than later. It seems that 2K will be looking to give fans a variety of ways to play the game as some match types will be returning in WWE 2K26 and a new match type is also set to make its debut in the game.
Insider Gaming is reporting that match types set to be featured in WWE 2K26 include I Quit match, Inferno Match and 3 Stages of Hell. It’s also being reported that the Dumpster Match is set to debut in WWE 2K26.
At this point in time it’s not exactly clear how the Dumpster Match mechanics will work, but it’s being said that it could be similar to a casket match. Exact details are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. According to the report intergender matches will also be returning in WWE 2K26 and they will even be a part of MyFACTION.
Earlier this week it was reported that CM Punk will be the featured superstar in the WWE 2K26 Showcase Mode. The Showcase Mode will feature some of Punk’s favorite matches from his WWE career as well as a “What If?” section focusing on matches that could have happened if he didn’t leave in 2014, and another section featuring fantasy matches.
