Karrion Kross was called up to the WWE main roster a number of weeks ago, but so far his run on Monday Night Raw has been met with some criticism. The former NXT Champion recently switched up his look when he debuted some new ring gear which included a gladiator helmet, and straps.
Former WWE Superstar Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Erick Rowan in WWE, teamed with Brodie Lee during his run with the company as a member of The Wyatt Family and The Bludgeon Brothers.
Redbeard recently discussed his time with WWE during an appearance on the Chairshots to the Cranium podcast, and he noted that WWE originally wanted them to wear ring gear that was “almost exactly” like the gear Karrion Kross has been using.
“I remember the first pitch meeting for it. They showed us pictures of what they wanted The Bludgeon Brothers to look like. I think it’s almost exactly what Karrion Kross is wearing right now. It’s the Demolition leather straps that look like suspenders while you wrestle. We both looked at each other like, ‘No…’ I think that’s when I had a few friends design some things.”
One way or another Karrion Kross’ run on the main roster has been met with mixed results over the last few weeks, so it will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
