Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured some huge moments that got the world talking. Paul Heyman came face to face with CM Punk, Drew McIntyre got his revenge on CM Punk, and a new Bloodline member joined the group when Jacob Fatu made his debut. The episode of has been receiving a lot of praise and it sounds like WWE recently made a big change when it comes to creative for the blue brand.
Fightful Select is reporting that longtime WWE creative writer John Swikata has been promoted to the lead writer on the SmackDown brand. Swikata replaced Ryan Callahan who reportedly parted ways with the company.
Very little is known about John Swikata other than him being listed as a senior writer for WWE. He has been with WWE for years and a number of writers commented and said that he has long been a well liked member of the writing team.
