New Gimmick Match Announced For 205 Live

Fans of 205 Live will be excited by this news, and people who have yet to check out the weekly cruiserweight showcase will have a new reason to tune in as WWE has announced a match for this week’s show. Jack Gallagher and Ariya Devairi will face each other this week in an “I Forfeit” match.

While the exact rules of this contest remain to be seen, it will probably be somewhat in tune with a traditional “I Quit” match, only with a more dapper name considering the gentleman involved.

Gallagher is arguably the biggest breakout star of the fledgling cruiserweight division and has been gaining a lot of momentum since his WWE debut during the Cruiserweight Classic. The gentleman’s gentleman has been feuding with the younger brother of Shawn Davairi recently and this looks like it could be the blow-off match of their rivalry.

Reports are that Vince McMahon has been critical of the newer division of WWE and this gimmick match might be a shot in the arm for the division as well as the 205 Live program.

205 Live starts at 10pm EST on the WWE Network and is usually a high octane wrestling experience. Unfortunately, the live crowd in attendance is usually tired from a night of Smackdown tapings, therefore, a number of seats have been historically vacant.
