The New Day have been WWE Tag Team Champions for quite some time now, and Sunday night at Hell in a Cell they defended their titles against Sheamus and Cesaro.
Sheamus and Cesaro are considered to be somewhat of an oddball tag team due to how how the team was formed. The two WWE Superstars competed in a Best of Seven Series, which ended in a tie, and then Raw General Manager Mick Foley suggested that they team up.
So far Sheamus and Cesaro have struggled to get along, but despite their differences, they’ve managed to rack up a few victories. They managed to pick up another victory on Sunday, but this time it was by disqualification.
Cesaro had Xavier Woods in the Sharpshooter inside the ring, when Sheamus hit Big E with the trombone on the outside, but the referee didn’t see. Kofi Kingston then hit Sheamus with Trouble in Paradise and the ref called for the bell.
