On the SmackDown Live edition of the WWE superstar shake-up it was revealed that the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions are moving to Tuesday nights. It was actually assumed they would be making the jump but then again, nothing is certain when you’re talking about WWE until the official announcement is made.
WWE decided to just make the announcement via a small video package instead of having them come out and do an entire segment. After all, it was already a very packed show.
Kofi Kingston is currently out of action due to an ankle injury so he might take a while to get to SmackDown Live. The New Day didn’t actually show up in Boston for SmackDown Live either. They could of course appear on next week’s show with their replacement partner “Blow-Fi Kingston” in tow. But that remains to be seen.
When WWE released the official tweet proclaiming The New Day would be making a jump to SmackDown Live, Xavier Woods had a very humorous observation concerning the picture WWE decided to use while making the announcement.
Big E had some sadness about the move though as he would be forced to say goodbye to a few of his besties on the Raw roster. Obviously one of his favorite people was Sasha Banks, and it’s easy to see why. They get along very well and they’re both quite flexible.
Kofi Kingston had the following to say about their move to SmackDown Live. We’re not really sure what he means by this, but he seems to be more than okay with this news.
The New Day seem okay with the fact they’re set to be making a move though. Xavier Woods seems very happy to be honest and it seems to have a lot to do with his popular YouTube channel Up Up Down Down. He now has the chance to welcome back some of his favorite guests on the show now that they’re playing for the blue team.
