“New Day rocks! New Day rocks!” Everybody say it with me now, “New Day rocks! New Day rocks!” Alright, now that we’ve got that out of our systems, let’s get down to business.
The New Day just reached a major tag team milestone. The trio now holds the record for longest combined reigns with the titles as they’ve held the belts for 332 days over the course of their WWE career. Paul London and Brian Kendrick previously held the WWE Tag Team Championship for 331 days.
London and Kendrick held the belts for 331 days and they did it with only one reign. The New Day have held the titles for 332 days but they did it took them two reigns to do it. With their current reign The New Day have been champions for 283 days meaning they will need to hold on to the belts for another 48 days before they pass London and Kendrick’s record at 331 days to become the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions ever.
This of course doesn’t take into account the 478 day record set by Demolition in one single reign with the World Tag Team Championship. It’s going to be a while before they break that one.
