The AEW Revolution pay-per-view aired live on Sunday night and Samoa Joe defended his TNT Championship against Wardlow in a singles match. The rivalry between Joe and Wardlow has been heated for months now as Joe won the TNT Championship for the first time in his career back in November at the Full Gear pay-per-view when he faced off against Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs in a triple threat match.
Samoa Joe later took the feud to the next level when he cut Wardlow’s hair. On Sunday night things quickly escalated between Wardlow and Samoa Joe, but it was Wardlow who picked up the win and walked out with the gold.
Wardlow managed to secure a victory over Samoa Joe when he choked out the Samoan Submission Machine to win the TNT Championship for the second time in his career.
Stay tuned for more updates on the AEW Revolution pay-per-view as they become available.
