New Announcer Joins NXT, Former NXT Announcer Comments On His Release

WWE has hired Austin Romero and he has signed on to work with the NXT brand. Romero will now be going by the name Mike Rome and he will be doing some announcing work for NXT and he started working with NXT at the live event in Venice, Florida on Friday night. You can check out a picture of him with recently hired NXT announcer Andrea D’Marco below.

Earlier this week WWE released Alex Reyes (Alex Del Barrio) from his contract. Del Barrio released a statement on Twitter thanking everyone in WWE for their support during his stint with the company. You can see what he had to say below.
