A battle royal was held on Monday Night Raw to determine the new #1 contender for Kalisto’s Unite States Championship. The match featured various Superstars such as Sheamus, Sin Cara, Rusev, Titus O’Neil, Curtis Axel, Baron Corbin and more fighting for a title shot. In the end it was Rusev who earned the right to challenge Kalisto for the United States Championship.
It came down to Rusev, Sheamus, Del Rio, Sin Cara and Zack Ryder as the final 5 in the ring. The former League of Nations members set their sights on Sin Cara and Zack Ryder. Del Rio and Sheamus tried to work together to eliminated Sin Cara but it backfired when Sin Cara took them out with a springboard moonsault.
Del Rio went over the top rope but he managed to hang on. Sin Cara was on the turnbuckle next to him so he pushed him off to eliminate him. The former League of Nations members then ganged up on Zack Ryder. They tried to throw Ryder out but he held on to the ropes.
Rusev hit Sheamus with a superkick and knocked him into the ropes. Del Rio then sent him over the top with a clothesline but he held on. Alberto followed up with a kick to the face to eliminate him. Rusev then knocked Del Rio over the top rope and Zack Ryder took him out with a dropkick.
It came down to Ryder and Rusev with the crowd fully behind Ryder. Zack hit Rusev with the Broski Boot and then went to throw him over the top but Rusev reversed it and he eliminated Zack instead. After the match Lana came out to celebrate and they stared down Kalisto who was at ringside.

Rusev wins, scraps the US title and brings back the European Championship. BOOM!
