It seems like WWE is going to need to wipe the board clean and start from scratch on a few points since The King Of The Cruiserweights walked out before Raw went on the air last week.
The Dirty Sheets reports Neville actually walked out because he was frustrated with the fact he was going to remain in the Cruiserweight Division. After all, Neville traveled the world as Pac long before his WWE days and took on all comers. He even faced bigger guys in NXT and during his first run on the WWE main roster when he was fighting to ditch that Mighty Mouse gimmick Vince McMahon wanted him to portray.
But it’s always been about Neville’s size, hasn’t it? This is the main reason why Austin Aries recently departed as well. That, and the fact their match was left off of the WrestleMania 33 DVD which was not only a huge insult but also took a big chunk out of their respective paydays.
There are also reports there were plans for Neville to eventually reclaim his WWE Cruiserweight Championship but Enzo would soon win it back with a freshly called-up bodyguard to protect him. The two guys in the running for that role were either Impact Wrestling alum Gunner or WWE Performance Center stand-out Babatunde Aiyegbusi.
But since Neville walked out those plans might have hit the cutting room floor. This is a real shame because it might have been fun to watch on television but apparently, Neville didn’t want to chase the WWE Cruiserweight Championship as a babyface.
