This week the final Raw on USA Network aired live as the show is set to make the jump to Netflix next week. There’s a lot of anticipation heading into the Netflix era and fans have been wondering if the red brand will be adding some new faces to the roster in the weeks to come.
Recently Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the possibility of Cody Rhodes moving from SmackDown to Raw during a live Q&A on the Fightful Report Podcast, and he noted that Netflix specifically requested Cody.
“I would imagine probably both and a big part of that is that Netflix requested him, Netflix wants him on these upcoming shows and through tomorrow they have the Holiday Tour that wraps up in Detroit at Little Cesar’s Arena but then after that the live events are done and they don’t have anymore until March 15th on the European tour and we already know they’re doing TV over there so it is not unreasonable to believe that they would be like, “Hey Cody we need you to work Mondays and Fridays,” two days a week not so bad right? So I wouldn’t doubt they end up making that happen.”
Currently Cody Rhodes is wrapped up in a heated feud with Kevin Owens. It was confirmed last week on SmackDown that Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a ladder match at the Royal Rumble premium live event. In addition to the Undisputed WWE Championship, the Winged Eagle belt will also be hanging above the ring during the match.
