Before The Hugger Of Huggers, The Boss, The Lass Kicker, The Princess Of Staten Island, Five Feet Of Fury, or The Queen there was GLOW. The Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling were on television to excite fans and wrestle their hearts out. It is all being packaged up as a new show debuting soon and we’re excited about.
If you’ve been waiting for new updates concerning the upcoming Netflix original series GLOW, then it’s a good day. There’s already a firm premier date for season one of this highly anticipated Jenji Kohan series and a new promo came out today.
Kohan is the creative force behind such fan favorites as Weeds and Orange Is The New Black. Weeds was about a newly widowed woman’s attempt to keep her family afloat by selling weed and Orange Is The New Black is an acclaimed show about individuals locked in an all-female prison. Needless to say, strong female characters are kind of Jenji Kohan’s thing.
This upcoming Kohan show, GLOW is based on the 1980’s incarnation of Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling. It is sure to give fans plenty of unique and inspiring female characters to cling onto. Jenji Kohan is executive producing the series and we can’t wait for the first season of 10 episodes to drop.
The show stars Alison Brie, Marc Maron, Betty Gilpen, and others. Some wrestling personalities such as Alex Riley and Awesome Kong are also included in the show. We can’t wait to meet them in the ring on June 23rd.
There’s nothing like a good mystery, especially if it’s WWE related. WWE’s official shop is bringing back their mystery boxes.
Fans pick a t-shirt size and roll the dice. There are two different price levels to chose from. The more you pay, the more you stuff you get. The $100 box ensures you will get at least six pieces of WWE apparel and one or more accessories promising a $210 value. There is also a $50 box that promises four pieces of WWE apparel and two or more accessories at a $115 value. Woman and youth sizes are also available.
So it’s a good deal no matter which one you pick. You can order your WWE mystery boxes here. But act soon because they’ll probably only be around as long as they’re doing spring cleaning around the shop.
