They say that anything can happen in WWE, and on Saturday night fans saw both Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar return to WWE programming at the SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Becky Lynch won the SmackDown Women’s Championship when she defeated Bianca Belair in a matter of seconds, and Brock Lesnar interrupted Roman Reigns’ celebration after the main event. With Lynch winning the SmackDown Women’s Title and Brock confronting Roman Reigns it seems safe to say that they’ll both be tied to the blue brand moving forward.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast is reporting that there’s a “little bit of an issue with the NBC and USA guys” over WWE stacking the Friday Night SmackDown roster.
Zarian also claimed that Becky Lynch returning at SummerSlam was not a last minute decision. He added that Becky winning the SmackDown Women’s Title was something WWE changed as it wasn’t the original plan.
