This year’s WWE WrestleMania 34 Kickoff Show featured the fifth annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and it also featured the first ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
Before the match kicked off, special guest ring announcer Lilian Garcia introduced special guest commentator Beth Phoenix, and Paige also joined the commentary team for the match.
Michael Cole said that Paige is injured, and she confirmed that she is, and said that she hopes to be in the battle royal next year.
After everyone made their entrances, Carmella held up her Money in the Bank briefcase and gloated in the middle of the ring as the match started, and all of the women teamed up to throw her out. The same thing happened to Dana Brooke, then the action kicked off.
It came down to the Riott Squad, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Natalya.
Bayley and Sasha teamed up to eliminate Natalya, then Liv Morgan, then Ruby Riott. Sarah Logan tried to eliminate Sasha Banks, but Bayley saved her and it came down to Banks and Bayley.
Sasha Banks and Bayley faced off, and Sasha went to shake Bayley’s hand but Bayley grabbed it and threw her out.
Bayley thought she won, but it turned out that Naomi had never been eliminated, so she got back in the ring and eliminated Bayley to win the match. Bayley and Sasha sat on the apron outside the ring and looked on in shock as Naomi celebrated.
