SummerSlam night 1 got the wrestling world talking and the action continued with night 2 on Sunday. WWE wasted no time getting right into the action as the show kicked off with the triple threat match for the WWE Women’s World Championship which saw Naomi defend her title against Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley.

Rhea Ripley entered first followed by Iyo Sky. Naomi got a special entrance as her father appeared on stage and played guitar as he walked down the ramp behind her.

Shortly after the bell rang Naomi exited the ring as she tried to get Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky to fight each other. Rhea and Iyo instead decided to team up take on Naomi, but the champion ended up controlling the match early on.

Naomi dominated for a few minutes before Rhea Ripley knocked her out of the ring. Rhea and Iyo then made eye contact and finally started fighting each other with Naomi on the outside.

Shortly after Naomi re-entered the match and it became a true triple threat. Rhea Ripley managed to connect with a Riptide on Naomi at one point, but Iyo Sky broke up the pin.

Rhea Ripley jumped off the apron and took Naomi out with a somersault on the outside then she got back on the apron. Iyo Sky went for a sunset flip powerbomb and she powerbombed Rhea onto Naomi.

The action returned to the ring and Rhea Ripley connected with a Riptide on Iyo Sky off the second rope. As Rhea was pinning Iyo Sky, Naomi rolled Rhea up and grabbed the tights to retain the title.
