WrestleMania season is right around the corner, and the Royal Rumble is almost here. This year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view will be extra special as it’s set to feature the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match.
On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw it was confirmed that both Sasha Banks, Bayley and Absolution will be entering the women’s Royal Rumble.
General Manager Kurt Angle also confirmed on Raw that the women’s Royal Rumble match will have the same rules as the men’s Rumble match, and that it will feature 30 female competitors. Angle also confirmed that the winners of both matches will earn title shots at WrestleMania, and he hyped up the fact that he thinks stars from Raw will pick up the victories.
As far as the men’s match goes, Finn Balor told Kurt Angle that he still wants a shot at the title that he never lost, and he doesn’t mind if he has to go through 29 other men to do it. Finn then officially entered the Royal Rumble match.
The Royal Rumble will air live on the WWE Network on Sunday, January 28 2018, and you can check out the updated card below.
