SmackDown and Raw are set to face off in three traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series matches next month at the Survivor Series pay-per-view. The three matches will see the best male competitors, the best female competitors, and the best tag teams from their respective brands face off in elimination matches.
In regards to the 5-on-5 male match, Kevin Owens, United States Champion Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho and Braun Strowman have all been confirmed for Team Raw. This week on SmackDown it was announced that they will go up against Randy Orton, Baron Corbin, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose and WWE World Champion AJ Styles.
The New Day are the captains of Team Raw for the 5-on-5 tag team match. Heath Slater & Rhyno, the Hype Bros., American Alpha and The Usos have have been confirmed for Team SmackDown.
Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte will be the captain of the Raw women’s team which includes Nia Jax and Bayley.
Last week it was confirmed that Nikki Bella will be the caption of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series this year. SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Naomi have also been confirmed for the team.
Backstage on SmackDown, Natalya confronted Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon, and she suggested that they make her the coach of the team. Bryan seemed apprehensive, but Shane agreed.
The Survivor Series pay-per-view is set to feature the Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar rematch, and more names for the Raw and SmackDown teams will be announced in the coming weeks.
