Over the last few weeks vignettes have been airing on NXT teasing that a main roster star would be returning to the brand.
On Sunday night Io Shirai defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Candice LeRae, and in the end it was Shirai who walked out with the gold.
After the match Io Shira was celebrating with her belt when Toni Storm appeared on the big screen. Storm announced that she’s back in NXT.
Following Storm’s announcement the cameras cut to the outside of the building and showed a motorcycle pulling up. The mystery star made their entrance while wearing a motorcycle helmet, and when they took the helmet off it was revealed that it was Ember Moon.
