Next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw is set to air live from Green Bay, WI and the King of the Ring tournament is expected to continue during the show. Recently it was announced that Sheamus, Bronson Reed and Rusev would be facing off against a mystery competitor in a King of the Ring match, and now the mystery competitor has been revealed.
Adam Pearce recently took to social media to reveal that he was simply waiting to see who would win the Jey Uso vs. Gunther match on the most recent episode of Raw. Now that Gunther is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Jey Uso will be taking the final spot in the King of the Ring tournament.
Jey Uso will be facing off against Sheamus, Bronson Reed and Rusev in a fatal four way on Monday Night Raw next week. The winner of that match will go on to face the winner of Andrade vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in the semifinals.
Back in April, Jey Uso defeated Gunther to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. His title reign was ended by Gunther after 51 days on Raw, but if Jey manages to win the King of the Ring tournament he will get another shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.
Stay tuned for updates.
