AEW Grand Slam aired live from Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday night, and Tony Schiavone interviewed Prince Nana who attempted to provide an update on Swerve Strickland’s status following his brutal match with Adam Page at All Out.

Prince Nana told the fans that Swerve Strickland is not currently cleared to compete. He asked the fans whose house it is, then someone started coughing. MVP debuted as he made his way out to interrupt Prince Nana. He reintroduced himself to the fans.

The former United States Champion said in his opinion Swerve is the most phenomenal talent to ever step foot in an AEW ring. MVP hyped up Swerve’s greatness as he listed off some of the big names Swerve has beaten. However, MVP then said that he saw Swerve lose the title at All In and he watched Adam Page burn down Swerve’s childhood home. He questioned why there were no consequences for the people who have wronged Swerve and said that these incidents were a failure on Prince Nana’s part.

MVP handed a business card to Prince Nana and told him to give it to Swerve when he’s ready to be taken seriously again, and when he is he’ll be ready to talk business.
