MVP made his WWE return at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and he wrestled once again on Raw the next night when he lost to Rey Mysterio.
The former United States Champion appeared on Raw once again last week, and recently it’s been reported that he could be transitioning into a backstage role with WWE.
MVP addressed his status during an appearance on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, and he confirmed that he is set to become a producer for WWE.
“Well, look, I’ll say this. I’m gonna go ahead, I’m gonna give you the scoop. Whether or not I’ll be seen on WWE television more has yet to be seen, because, you know, I don’t make those decisions. I would definitely make myself available for an on-screen role in some capacity. But I’ll be joining the team as a backstage producer, so, there’s your scoop.”
MVP also noted that he’s open to doing more on camera work, but that the decision is out of his hands.
