Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown have been on the air for decades now, but the rise of social media has made it far easier for fans to voice their opinions on the current product.
WWE’s storylines are constantly criticized by fans online, and the lack of interest in the product seems to be reflected in Raw’s declining ratings.
The criticism doesn’t appear to be sitting well with MVP, as he recently took to Twitter to call fans out when he posted the following:
“2 things today’s wrestling fans LOVE: Assumptions about what or who is coming next based on their fantasy booking. Criticizing whatever wrestling show they’re watching based on their fantasy booking.”
A fan responded by questioning why people would want to watch the “same garbage” and “100 rematches” every week, and MVP replied with, “Well, people like you and you are the same garbage every week. So, [Man shrugging]”
MVP has been heavily involved in the main event scene as of late acting as a manager for current WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Next month Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against Kofi Kingston at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Stay tuned for updates.
