How Much Is Jack Swagger Charging For Indie Shows? Official WWE Philippines Announcement

Jack Swagger is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and he was recently released from his WWE contract. Swagger informed the world via Chael Sonnen’s podcast that he had requested to be released, and shortly after the announcement was made, WWE granted his request.

Now Jack Swagger is set to hit the independent scene, and it looks like he’ll be hitting it hard as he’s already been confirmed for House of Hardcore’s tour of Australia in June. He’s also set to work with Alberto El Patron in Mexico in May.

One indie promoter told the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jack Swagger is looking to charge $4,000 for independent shows, and the feeling is that number is too high for most indie promotions.

WWE recently signed a TV deal that will see SmackDown air on TV5 in the Philippines on April 30th.

Ed Wells, WWE Executive Vice President, International recently commented on the new deal, and you can see what he had to say below.

“TV5 shares our vision and desire for engaging and entertaining fans in the Philippines. This new partnership to televise SmackDown showcases the continuing global growth of WWE while creating a destination for WWE fans in the Philippines to enjoy our unique blend of action-packed, family fun entertainment.”

“In the industry of sports entertainment, WWE is second to none,” TV5 President Chot Reyes added. “It’s a proven, successful, model organization and an esteemed, iconic brand. We at TV5 are honored and excited to be the platform that delivers WWE to the free TV audience.”
