WWE’s deal with Endeavor officially closed earlier this week and as is expected the company is wasting little time when it comes to letting people go. PWInsider is now reporting that Catherine Newman, WWE’s Executive Vice President and Head of Marketing is now done with the company due to the layoffs.
Departments she oversaw in WWE included Marketing, Brand, Community Relations, Entertainment Relations, Creative Services and Photography. Newman previously worked as Chief Marketing Officer of Manchester United Media, and she ended up joining WWE in June of 2022.
Amanda Bloom who held the title of WWE’s Director, Enterprise Master Data & Governance is gone as well. Bloom had been with WWE for seven years and was said to be considered extremely important for WWE’s technology department. She was also the one who designed the foundational content data model for navigation and discovery on the WWE Network.
It’s also being reported that the WWE Network and podcasting divisions have been hit as employees from those divisions have been let go. However, the number of people who have been let go is not confirmed yet.
