The most recent episode of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from the TD Garden in Boston, and the wrestling world was sent into an uproar when it was reported that Vince McMahon was backstage at the event. There was talk that Vince was only there to visit John Cena, but he ended up staying for the whole show and sat in Gorilla all night.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Triple H was still the one barking orders and producing the show even though Vince was in Gorilla. Triple H is still in charge of creative, but it was noted the idea that Vince has no involvement at all likely isn’t the case.
It was also noted that people looking for Vince’s fingerprints could possibly find them with mention of Chad Gable being short and ugly and Johnny Gargano being run down for being a short comic book fan being two examples. While Triple H is more into the wrestling aspect of the presentation, Vince McMahon is his mentor and Vince’s ideas are the DNA of the company.
Vince McMahon returned to WWE in January to pursue a sale of the company ahead of media rights negotiations. It was recently reported by CNBC that WWE is expected to meet with potential buyers in April. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
