Rhea Ripley has been one of the key figures in the WWE women’s division for some time now, but it was announced on Wednesday that the former WWE Women’s World Champion will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.
Dave Meltzer shared an update on Rhea’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio and it was noted that she suffered a fractured orbital bone at some point last week.
“She’s got a fractured orbital bone, so the injury that they announced is pretty much legit. It happened last week, probably the last TV thing because she hasn’t worked any house shows. So probably in the last TV angle that she did with Raquel was where it happened most likely, and she is gonna be out for a while.”
Rhea Ripley was written off TV earlier this week when WWE did an angle on NXT where she was shown beaten down in the parking lot. As WWE officials were rushing to Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were seen leaving the parking lot. It’s not clear at this point in time when Rhea could be back in action, but it’s probably safe to say that her feud with Liv Morgan is still far from over.
