Jimmy Uso’s name is all over the news right now following his DUI arrest on Thursday morning in Escambia County, and now some new details regarding his arrest have come to light.
According to ABC3, a deputy was dispatched around 1:30 a.m. in response to a possible DUI complaint, and he was advised the the vehicle was traveling in excess of 100 MPH while traveling westbound on Interstate 10. The vehicle was reportedly swerving from left to right.
The car was also spotted at Ticket Spots Bar, but was not at the scene when the deputy arrived.
The deputy then parked at Publix and spotted a car turn from Pine Forest Rod onto Highway 297A and rapidly accelerate while driving close to another vehicle. The speed of the car was tracked at 86 MPH in an area with a speed limit of 45 MPH.
Jimmy Uso’s car was then stopped by the deputy at Highway 97A and Brockwood Place. When Jimmy Uso was asked for his license, registration and proof of insurance he reportedly had issues holding the documents in his hands.
It’s also being reported that he had bloodshot, watery, droopy eyelids, dilated pupils and slurred speech.
The deputy asked him to step out of the car after smelling an alcoholic beverage, and Uso had to be told several times to get out of the car.
He appeared to be unsteady on his feet, so the cop asked him to ride with him to an adjacent parking lot, to which Uso agreed but then seemed to be confused in regards to what was happening.
The deputy explained he was going to give him a field sobriety test, and Jimmy began asking if he needed a lawyer and if he was being detained.
The report notes that the deputy explained it was not possible to have a lawyer present for the sobriety test, and then Jimmy Uso took his phone from his pocket and began pointing it towards the deputy’s face.
Uso was then placed in handcuffs and arrested for DUI. He then reportedly became uncooperative and had to be told several times to have a seat in the patrol car. While in the patrol car, Jimmy also told the deputy he was uncomfortable with it and that he wanted to speak to another deputy.
The report also notes the deputy had to roll his back windows down on the way to the jail due to the overwhelming smell of alcohol. Uso was charged with DUI and given a citation for speeding with $1,000 bond. He’s currently scheduled to appear in court on August 15.
