As we previously reported, Jeff Hardy was arrested in Volusia County, Florida on Monday morning and charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs.
Marc Raimondi of ESPN noted that according to the Florida Highway Patrol report Jeff Hardy was seen driving a white car which was “swerving” and “running off the road” around 12:30 am. The report also noted that when the officer stopped Jeff he appeared to be “in a stupor and confused.”
Once Jeff Hardy exited the car he smelled of alcohol and the officers learned through conversation that he had been drinking. An officer wrote in the report that Hardy could not complete any of the sobriety exercises successfully “or without risk of falling.”
Officers administered a breath test for Hardy which showed 0.294 of blood-alcohol content on a first sample, and 0.291 on the second sample. The legal limit in Florida is 0.08.
Jeff Hardy is set to appear in court at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, June 14th. Originally Jeff was set to compete in a triple threat ladder match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on Wednesday night, but it appears that the company may be making other plans as a recent from AEW promoting Road Rager did not list the match.
