You never know who might return when you’re watching WWE programming, as Edge recently returned to the ring after a nine year absence at the Royal Rumble.
WWE is constantly bringing stars from the past back, and recently former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio claimed that he has been in talks with the company about returning, and that he hoped to be back with WWE at some point in 2020.
However, it was later reported that there is no truth to Alberto Del Rio’s claims about a possible return.
Now Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT has followed up on the report, and he noted that he’s been told Triple H “absolutely didn’t” reach out to Alberto about a possible return.
Sorry Alberto Del Rio fans, but it doesn’t look like a return is in the cards for him at this point in time.
