Chris Jericho and MVP recently made headlines as it was reported that the two stars got into a confrontation at a hotel a few weeks ago. Fightful Select reports that those close to the situation say it’s true that MVP and Chris Jericho are no longer friends. The rift between Jericho and MVP was apparently caused by social and political issues. When Fightful reached out to MVP he confirmed that “there was an exchange, but it didn’t go down like that.”
MVP was reportedly visiting with friends at the talent hotel after the AEW Dynamite taping in Houston and approached Chris Jericho to discuss their issues. According to one side of the story MVP invited Chris Jericho outside to handle their issues. Jericho boarded an elevator and as the doors were closing he told MVP he “doesn’t fight jobbers.”
When Fightful reached out to Chris Jericho about the incident he reportedly said, “Nothing else to say. I don’t fight jobbers. Nuff said.”
One WWE source claimed that someone from AEW reached out to WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis about the confrontation. The source noted that Laurinaitis didn’t seem to care after he found out the exchange ended without an incident.
