When AEW first launched it seemed that Cody Rhodes would be with the company for the long haul, but the former TNT Champion made his way back to WWE after his contract with All Elite Wrestling expired. Now it seems that there could be more AEW stars looking to make the jump in the future.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, up until recently most of the AEW regulars and top stars were not talking about going to WWE. Some had indicated that they never wanted to leave because they saw no future in WWE due to their size and the new direction of NXT. However, some minds have been changed with the success of Cody Rhodes in WWE and Cody making more money.
MJF has been openly stating for months now that he would consider jumping to WWE if he received the right deal. It was recently reported that Vince McMahon would be looking to make MJF a lucrative offer to bring him into the company.
It’s not known at this point what other AEW names could be interesting in joining WWE. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
