We have covered the fact that Rob Gronkowski has been teasing a collaboration with current Smackdown superstar Mojo Rawley for quite some time now. We have also mentioned the fact that Mojo is extremely close with Gronkowski’s family as well, so close in fact that he called Rob’s father, “Papa Gronk.”
Rawley recently appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter where Jonathan Coachman asked him an assortment of questions regarding his close friendship with the New England Patriots tight end as well as other professional wrestling related questions.
Mojo said one of the biggest adjustments he had to make is adjusting to the fact that WWE has no off-season and it’s a constant struggle to stay in shape and be able to compete at such a high level to stay hyped.
Naturally, Coachman asked Mojo about his famous tight end friend when Rawley explained that he and Gronkowski have been talking about partnering up in WWE for a long time and they are currently planning the move, albeit very carefully. He said him and Zack Ryder had momentum just when Long Island Iced Z went down with that knee injury. He’s more focused on himself now and he said he’s not letting this opportunity pass him by because “it’s go time.”
