Mojo Rawley Debuts On The Main Roster At WWE Battleground, Rusev Retains

Rusev defended his United States Championship against Zack Ryder at WWE Battleground, and it was Rusev who walked out with the gold.

Zack Ryder came out like a fiery ball of patriotism decked out head to toe in red, white and blue, but Rusev quickly slowed down Ryder’s momentum. For much of the match Rusev completely dominated.

There was a glimmer of hope when the action spilled to the outside and Ryder got the upper hand. Zack then hit the Rough Ryder back in the ring and then tried to follow up with an Elbrow Drop but Rusev countered by putting his knees. Rusev then applied the Accolade and Ryder tapped.

After the match Rusev tried to beat Ryder down by Mojo Rawley came out the make the save and Rusev backed down.
