The AEW Worlds End pay-per-view aired live from Chicago on Saturday night and the show featured some big moments. Jon Moxley defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the Continental Classic, and Samoa Joe went on to defend his AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland, Adam Page and MJF in the main event.

The match featured interference from The Opps who made their way down to the ring and attacked the other competitors which allowed Samoa Joe to follow up with a Musclebuster on Adam Page. Unfortunately for Joe, Page kicked out at two. Hook then got on the apron and started to argue with the referee. Hobbs and Shibata went to attack Prince Nana, but Swerve jumped off the top rope and took them out with a Swerve Stomp on the outside.

Adam Page got distracted by Hook, so Samoa Joe took advantage and locked in the Coquina Clutch. Swerve broke the hold with a Swerve Stomp on Joe as a group of referees ushered The Opps up the ramp.

Near the end of the of the match Adam Page connected with the Buckshot Lariat twice on Samoa Joe. He went for a third Buckshot Lariat, but MJF pushed Joe out of the way then hit Page with a low blow. MJF immediately followed up with the Heatseeker on Joe then pinned him to win the match.

After the match the referee tried to raise MJF’s arm but he pushed him away. The new champion celebrated with the belt as pyro went off in the background then he celebrated at the top of the ramp as AEW Worlds End went off the air.
