It’s been a while since fans have seen MJF on AEW programming as he dropped the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe at the Worlds End pay-per-view in December and he hasn’t appeared on TV since. MJF has also been very quiet on social media, but he recently posted his first tweet of 2024.
The Rock recently responded to a post from MJF’s ex Natalie Rosenblum who shared a photo showing off one of her paintings of The Rock’s beat down on Cody Rhodes last week. Rock offered to buy the painting which caught the attention of MJF apparently. In his first tweet of the year MJF accused The Rock of stealing his idea to lash Cody Rhodes and also referenced the exchange between his ex and The Rock when he posted the following:
“First you steal my glorious idea to lash Cody.
Now you try to cop art from my ex.
I’m a fan.
But please Leave me be, Dewey.”

The timing of the post is interesting to say the least as we’re only a few days from WrestleMania and The Rock is currently set to team up with Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
For years now MJF has been teasing the idea that he could jump to WWE in 2024 although his current status is unknown. MJF has claimed that his deal with AEW is still set to expire in 2024. It’s been rumored that he may have signed a new deal with the company at some point, but that has not been confirmed.
One way or another it will be interesting to see if The Rock responds to MJF, and what the future holds for MJF in general. Stay tuned.
