The Miz and Dolph Ziggler have had quite the rivalry, and tension between the two WWE Superstars has been at an all time high these past few months. At No Mercy Dolph Ziggler faced off against The Miz in a Career vs. Title match, and Dolph Ziggler saved his career and won the Intercontinental Championship that night.
Dolph Ziggler then defended his IC Title against The Miz on SmackDown the week before Survivor Series, and Miz won the title back. Following the loss, Dolph Ziggler made it clear that he wasn’t done with The Miz, and General Manager Daniel Bryan set up a match for TLC.
Daniel Bryan announced that The Miz would defend his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder Match at WWE TLC, and that Dolph and Miz would face off for the final time at the event.
The match was action packed and it was The Miz who walked out with the belt.
At one point Miz wrapped Dolph Ziggler’s leg in the ladder, and then he applied the figure four. When Miz released it Dolph tried to go for a superkick but his leg gave out, Miz hit Skull Crushing Finale on the ladder. The Miz then climbed the ladder and grabbed the title, but Dolph moved the ladder and left Miz hanging. Dolph Ziggler then slammed the ladder into the The Miz’s knee, and Miz fell down then rolled out of the ring. Both men then started limping to sell the damage that was done to their legs.
The Miz set up two ladders, and both guys struggled to climb. They fought at the top of the ladder and Dolph Ziggler knocked Miz off after head butting him. Dolph stood between the two ladders as he tried to grab the title, and Miz jumped up then hit him with a low blow kick before pushing him off the ladder and grabbing the title.
