The Miz defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dean Ambrose on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, and it’s safe to say that things didn’t exactly go his way. Maryse tried to cause a disqualification by slapping Dean Ambrose, but the referee decided against ending the match, and he sent her to the back instead. Ambrose later followed up with Dirty Deeds for the win.

The Miz decided to stop by Talking Smack on Tuesday night to vent his frustrations, and he had a total meltdown. The Miz called out Daniel Bryan for giving Dean Ambrose a shot at the title, and accused him of giving Ambrose the shot because Bryan is friends with Renee Young. From there The Miz took aim at Renee Young and he berated her while she screamed back at him and Daniel Bryan tried to calm them down.
Daniel Bryan informed Miz that Maryse will be getting fined $5,000 for slapping Renee Young since she’s not an in ring competitor. Bryan then called Miz out for cheating in the IC Title match, and told him that there are other people on the roster that are better than him, and Miz lost it.
The Miz then had a major meltdown where he just kind of freaked out like a kid who had been denied candy by their parents. At some point during his incoherent rambling, The Miz told Daniel Bryan and Renee Young that 2017 is going to be his year, before throwing the microphone and storming off the set.
