It’s really hard to make plans sometimes because you never know what can happen. After all, unpredictability is sometimes one of the most important and dreaded parts of life. The Miz is still riding high as WWE Intercontinental Champion and word is there are big plans for him coming up at WrestleMania 34. But you can never count out the unexpected, especially when you’re expecting.
The It Couple is getting ready to welcome their first child into the world and on the season finale of Total Divas this week their OBGYN informed The Miz and Maryse that their daughter’s due date is April 6th. The Miz quickly checked his calendar and realized that this is just two days before WrestleMania which could pose a problem for him as a WWE Superstar.
If The Miz and Maryse’s child comes a couple of days later, then she could be born on the day of the Show Of Shows which could put The A-Lister in a very tough spot. After all, when they announced the pregnancy live on Raw, The Miz said he would be there for his child from day one and that would certainly include the day she is born.
The Miz then said he shouldn’t be thinking about work at a time like this, but when that date was announced he had a natural reaction to check his WWE schedule. After all, some Superstars need to be in town for the entire week before the show to do media, appearances, and other WWE related activities especially if they’re champions.
If The Miz needs to miss some of the pre-WrestleMania shindigs so he can be there for the birth of his daughter, I’m sure Vince McMahon would understand. But let’s just hope it doesn’t keep The Miz from having to miss the Grandaddy Of Them All as he becomes a daddy himself.
The It Couple might try to change their daughter’s due date but their doctor pointed out there was nothing they could do about it. After all, as Dr. Ian Malcolm said in Jurassic Park, “life, uh, finds a way.”
It would be great if The Miz could attend both events but regardless he’ll either be leaving his very pregnant wife at home while he heads to New Orleans, or he’ll have to leave his newborn daughter and wife so he can make the Show Of Shows. Sometimes life is full of difficult decisions.
