Mick Foley recently attended a NXT live event and he had nothing but good things to say about the show all around. He talked a little bit about what it was like to be there and also plugged his WrestleMania Dream Vacation raffle in support of RAINN. The REAL Reason I Was At The NXT Event
So why did I show up at the #NXT event two nights ago? Easy – my son’s birthday was coming up, he loves, NXT, and travelling 7 hours round-trip to see a house show in a small armory, in the tiny town of Bartow, Florida seemed like a perfectly logical idea.It was a great night too – watching Becky Lynch play to the small crowd like it was a packed arena, getting that hug I just knew I’d eventually get from Bayley, watching my son recite the Dusty Rhodes classic promo “Hard Times” word for word to Billy Gunn, Norman Smiley and Joey Mercury.
A friend of mine – one of the top names in the business – told me he couldn’t remember a time when he felt so disconnected from wrestling. I hope he’ll check out an NXT show and perhaps rediscover that passion.
