You never know what might happen in the world of professional wrestling, and on Saturday WWE shocked the world when the company announced that Bray Wyatt had been released from his contract. The former Universal Champion was reportedly released due to budget cuts, and he’s received a lot of support from his peers on social media following the release.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley had some words of encouragement for Wyatt, and after news of the release broke he praised Bray for being a “true visionary” and a “creative genius.”
“With @WWE’s release of @WWEBrayWyatt the company has lost a true visionary and a creative genius; one of the most innovative makers of mayhem pro-wrestling has ever seen. Here’s hoping Bray finds happiness and recreates himself once again – in wrestling, in life…or both.”

Bray Wyatt will have to wait out his 90 day non-compete clause, but it’s probably safe to say that there are a number of wrestling promotions that would be interested in hiring him, so it will be interesting to see where he goes next.
