Mercedes Mone Reacts After Fan Asks Why She Left WWE

Last year Sasha Banks and Naomi parted ways with WWE while they were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and they both spent several months sitting on the sidelines. Sasha and Naomi have both since resurfaced in the wrestling world as Mercedes Mone and Trinity.

Both women have been pretty quiet about their reasons for leaving the company, but a fan recently addressed the subject during a Mercedes Mone signing at New York Comic Con over the weekend.

The fan asked Mercedes how NJPW is treating her then said, “I know that you had left WWE due to the creative issues…”

Mercedes Mone quickly fired back with, “Is that the reason? Oh that’s what you read but you weren’t there. So, no.”

When asked what the reason is Mercedes said, “Why would I just tell you? You ain’t gonna see my interview. You ain’t gonna read my book.”

The fan then told Mercedes they’re going to do “all that” which prompted Mercedes to tell the fan to “just wait.” She followed up by telling the fan to keep reading “fiction books.”

So far Mercedes Mone has said very little about her WWE departure, but judging from her comments it seems that she has plans to reveal at least some of the details in the future. Stay tuned for updates.
