After Vince McMahon retired in July, Triple H was put in charge of WWE creative and since then he’s been putting his own team together. Triple H has brought back names such as Ryan Katz, Road Dogg and Gabe Sapolsky to work with him behind the scenes.
PWInsider is now reporting that Gabe Sapolsky was seen at the AAW Jim Lynam Memorial Tournament on Friday night scouting independent talent for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Gabe Sapolsky previously worked as the head booker for Ring of Honor and he also founded Evolve. He was released from WWE back in January, but Triple H has since brought him back into the fold.
After NXT was relaunched as NXT 2.0 last year it was reported that WWE wouldn’t be putting as much effort into scouting independent talent, but it seems that things have changed now that Triple H is in charge. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
