Mauro Ranallo continues to be strong through the current controversy surrounding him. In case you haven’t heard so far, Mauro Ranallo is no longer with WWE due to some alleged occurrences of backstage bullying. JBL has been on the top of the list of supposed perpetrators and he’s even started blocking people who are supportive of Ranallo.
In the middle of all this chaos, some fans of WWE are actually starting to sour on the product because of it. The transparency that has risen out of this ordeal certainly isn’t good, to say the least. But, Mauro Ranallo wants to encourage fans not to give up on WWE just because there are apparently a few bad apples in Vince’s Barrel Of Bodyslams.
Mauro’s battle with bipolar disorder has been widely documented and these allegations of backstage bullying didn’t make him feel at home as he should have felt. He was reportedly chastised for being publically grateful for receiving an award that wasn’t WWE affiliated, and apparently, the bullying didn’t stop with that. Therefore, it would appear Mauro Ranallo has sadly called his last match for WWE.
When a someone on Twitter commented that he was canceling his WWE Network subscription because of this situation Mauro encouraged him not to. Mauro’s superb play-by-play commentary might be the reason some people watched SmackDown Live, but his absence is no reason to tune out completely.
A fan later asked Mauro which people were always supportive of him he was quick to reply. He listed such favorites as AJ Styles, The Club, Shinsuke Nakamura and implied there were more people who were good to him as well. But, apparently, the good didn’t weigh out the bad in this instance which is why Mauro is no longer on SmackDown Live.
To be honest, we already miss Mauro Ranallo on commentary. But, alas SmackDown Live’s announce booth is now being filled with JBL, Tom Phillips, and Byron Saxton. The show is still in good hands, but the show is going to miss Mauro Ranallo’s world-class commentary for sure.
A fan also asked Mauro how he felt about all of the unwavering support he’s experienced through this and Ranallo borrowed a quote from someone who he also calls a friend in WWE.
