Back in September a number of surprising names were released from WWE following the TKO merger and Matt Riddle’s name happened to be on the list. The released WWE stars are free agents as of today and it’s been confirmed that Matt Riddle will be working with MLW moving forward.
Major League Wrestling released a video confirming that Matt Riddle will be returning to the ring when he faces Jacob Fatu at MLW’s Kings of Colosseum event on January 6.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Court Bauer was asked how long Matt Riddle will be with MLW and he said that it’s open, but Riddle will be on virtually all of MLW’s shows moving forward.
“It’s open. He’s going to be on virtually all of our shows going forward. Where that takes us down the road, we’ll see. He’s able to work for other places, just to let everyone know that. He’s primarily with us. He’s going to be with us and there is going to be other stuff coming down the road that he’ll reveal on his own, but we’ll be one of his bigger focuses.”
As Court Bauer noted Riddle’s deal allows him to work other places as well, so it will be interesting to see where Matt Riddle pops up in 2024. Stay tuned for updates.
