Matt Riddle had a huge night on Sunday, as he and Pete Dunne managed to defeat The Undisputed Era and capture the NXT Tag Team Titles at NXT TakeOver: Portland.
Riddle later took to Twitter to post a photo of himself and Dunne celebrating with the belts which prompted Randy Orton to respond with the following:
“Hated you. Now I get it. Good luck. Also f**k off.”
Matt Riddle has since replied to Orton’s comments with the following response, “I woke up at the crack of noon today and saw this, and I all I could think was “Randy is the Coolest! Also don’t smash my head with a chair bro” #viper #bro #stallion”
It will be interesting to see if Matt Riddle and Randy Orton cross paths on the main roster someday, but as of right now it doesn’t seem that there are any plans for Riddle to get called up any time soon.
