Matt and Jeff Hardy’s return at WrestleMania 33 might have been the loudest pop of the night. But after the dust settled we quickly realized they were no longer Broken. WWE started referring to them as The Hardy Boyz once again, and Matt’s usual Broken accent had diminished significantly. Matt previously stated the roar of the WrestleMania crowd had changed him back to his former self. Others had a different theory. Some actually thought the change had more to do with a superkick from Matt Jackson at ROH’s Supercard Of Honor on the previous night.

Whatever the reason might be, Matt and Jeff seem to be back to their old selves. Well, it would appear so at least. But nothing has been set in stone quite yet, to be honest. As always, you can never say never when you’re talking about WWE.
Matt Hardy changed his Twitter handle back to just “Matt Hardy” earlier today. But, he has since changed it back to the previous #Broken Matt name.
His Twitter posts have also become more and more Broken sounding as well. We’re not saying Matt using words in all caps automatically means he’s acting Broken, but we’re not saying it means he’s fixed either.
Twitter has a policy that you can only change your handle so many times. Therefore, with Matt changing his Twitter handle back to the #Broken Matt name, he might be locked in that name for a while longer. We can only hope it might be the same on WWE TV.
Of course, these are all speculations based on mere observations. But it really gives us something to think about. After all, wouldn’t it be amazing if WWE would be able to squash Impact Wrestling’s legal threats and put the World Wrestling Entertainment machine behind merchandising the Broken Hardys? We just wonder how well WWE officially licensed “F— That Owl” shirts would sell.
