A few months ago Matt Hardy stepped away from in-ring competition so that he could take time off to deal with some nagging injuries, and he posted a video saying that Woken Matt Hardy may have wrestled his last match in a WWE ring.
But recently Matt has been teasing a return to the ring, and now he’s giving even more hope to fans who are anxious to see him back in action.
The former Raw Tag Team Champion was asked about his status during an interview with Sportskeeda, and when he was asked if retirement is on the horizon, he confirmed that it is not.
“No, it’s not. I took time off to heal some nagging injuries and I’ll be back sooner rather than later. So, I’ve been doing this twenty-six years. I was just a little beat up. I was given a little time off. From when I’ve been back, for over a year and half, I was full time. I did everything.
Jeff was off with the surgery, so just had a little bit of time off. I think Bray needed a little time off. He’d had a car accident. So, I think it was just a little bit of time off for everyone. So, I think you’ll see an evolution of Bray Wyatt and an evolution of Matt Hardy.”
If Matt does indeed return to the ring soon, it will be interesting to see how often he wrestles.
