Last summer Matt and Jeff Hardy turned the wrestling world upside down when they unleashed The Final Deletion. It was unlike anything that wrestling fans had ever seen before, and everyone was talking about it immediately after it aired on Impact Wrestling.
After The Final Deletion there was high demand for more Broken Universe content, and The Hardys delivered. Most of the content was filmed at the Hardy compound in North Carolina, and the brothers teamed up with Jeremy Borash to bring their vision to life.
Matt Hardy, Jeff and Reby spent a lot of time crafting the Broken Universe, and they even funded The Final Deletion with their own money. Matt Hardy recently brought up The Finale Deletion on Twitter, and he noted that they spent $2,500, and it took 4 days to build the set.
Matt Hardy also added that they received “ZERO help” from TNA.
Earlier this year The Hardys returned to WWE, and fans were hoping to see them bring the Broken Universe along with them. Unfortunately TNA, now known as GFW, has claimed ownership of the Broken Universe and all associated gimmicks.
The two sides have been trying to work out a deal that would allow The Hardys to use the gimmick. But talks broke down, and it was recently reported that the company wanted the The Hardys to pay $10,000 to $15,000 for the rights to the Broken Universe, and Anthem also wanted 50% of all Hardy revenue, including Jeff Hardy’s art and music.
