Matt Hardy appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw and cut a passionate promo as he confronted Randy Orton in the center of the ring, then Orton took Hardy out with a RKO and a con-chair-to.
It was later reported that the segment was done as a way to write Matt Hardy off TV. The former WWE Tag Team Champion’s deal is set to expire in March, and it’s been speculated that he could be joining AEW as the leader of The Dark Order.
Matt Hardy’s Broken Matt character was quite popular before he returned to WWE, and fans would often hear him refer to The Young Bucks as The Bucks of Youth.
This week on AEW Dynamite Jim Ross referred to The Young Bucks as The Bucks of Youth.
When a fan brought the comment to Matt’s attention, he cracked a joke then made it clear that Jim Ross has his blessing to use the phrase.
He did? Nothing’s sacred anymore.
In all seriousness, I wouldn’t be who I am today without @JRsBBQ’s assistance. JR always has my blessing to use the term "Bucks Of Youth." https://t.co/MvdlzehFjc
